According to Ana News reporter from Damghan, today, Mohsen Nafar and Abdollah Khalesi Doost, the president of Islamic Azad University of Semnan, visited the Faculty of pharmacy at Islamic Azad University, Damghan Branch. After providing advice on recruiting the specialized human resources, He mentioned that,
“This faculty has eliminated the problems with recruiting the specialist staff, so that we can be transformed into one of the specialized pharmacy faculties in the next three years. The professional infrastructure and the equipped laboratories along with the cooperation with pharmaceutical companies and provision of candidates’ welfare can attract more professional academics”.
The Deputy of Medical Sciences at Islamic Azad University emphasized the quality of education improvement. He also highlighted the human studies as the pivot for medical sciences and added, “providing equipment and the presence of specialized academics along with increasing productivity will guarantee the power of effective training for successful staff in the future of the country”.
The head of the Islamic Azad University, Damghan Branch – Nematollah Nemati – also elaborated on the Faculty of Pharmacy and mentioned that:
“Our vision of developing pharmaceutical infrastructure is a fundamental and based in the importance of medical science. Therefore, attempts have been made to provide educational facilities and adequate equipment in the faculty building; so to achieve this end, the faculty has been located in a 4000-square-foot area and four-story building and equipped classes, specialized libraries, a computer site, Ibn Sina Hall and educational departments for the students of pharmacy”.
Further, Nematollah Nemati appreciated the organizational supports to equip operational laboratories in a 2000 square area in the Islamic Azad University, Damghan Branch and said,
“The value of specialized equipment for pharmacy laboratories is beyond 20 billion Tomans and Damghan University can serve the pharmacy students in the best possible way by having 12 professional laboratories in the field of Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy, Chemotherapy, Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, Biopharmaceuticals, etc”.
He referred to recruiting the academic staff by saying that “the last year, we have recruited five experts in the field of pharmaceutics, pharmacology and pharmaceutical chemistry and we will try to recruit 10 more professional staff to provide the basis for qualitative growth”. The head of Islamic Azad University, Damghan Branch described the success of the Pharmaceutical Sciences Incubator with five Technology Cores and outlined the plans launched in the university semester which ends in September 2020 and mentioned
“An urban pharmacy will be launched soon to train the young pharmacists in the field and to solve the medicine distribution problems in Damghan. By launching the research center for herbal medicine, we are becoming one of the most important manufacturing centers for herbal medicine”.
According to Ana News reports, Mohsen Nafar, the Deputy of Medical Sciences at Islamic Azad University visited the faculty of pharmacy, operational laboratories and the laboratories at the pharmaceutical research center. He asked the authorities at Islamic Azad University, Damghan Branch to use their best efforts in increasing productivity and better qualification.
